Soap making class (Part 1) Each attendee makes one 3# batch of cold process soap to take home (includes molds, safety gloves and safety goggles to take home) $60
Soap making class (Part 2) Each attendee will receive 3-4 bars of shampoo and 3-4 bars of shave soap plus 4oz of goats milk lotion. $75
Lotion making class Each attendee will receive 8oz of lotion in lotion bottles and two lotion bars $50

We will show you how to make all natural cold process goats milk soap from start to finish. Each adult participant will be able to take home a 3 pound (approximately) loaf of soap in a plastic mold or molds. Each batch will yield about 12-16 bars of soap. We will help you understand swirls, multi-colored soaps, embeds, pencil lines, layering and more. All are basic techniques, no advanced techniques will be shown. Safety equipment (gloves and goggles) will be provided and you will take them home with you.
Things to bring: An old bath towel. Since the kitchen will be full of soap making. we won't be able to make any food, but you are welcome to bring food and drinks of your own.

A sequel to our basic cold process soapmaking class.
You will learn to make cold process shampoo bars and cold process shave soap. You will get an idea of how to use a dual lye recipe (shave soap). Each attendee will receive 3-4 bars of shampoo and 3-4 bars of shave soap. Of course both can double very nicely as "regular" body soaps.
Unlike our part one class each attendee will participate in the making of two "group batches" instead of each attendee making an individual soap batch. We will only share one recipe for shampoo and one recipe for shave soap and the batches will be split among the attendees to take home.
You will also make lotions! You will be able to make a goats milk (or other types) lotion from start to finish using your choice of oils and scents. You will take home a small batch of your handmade lotion - approximately 4oz. (un-labeled lotion bottle(s) included).
Note: For safety reasons, we will only make lotions that include preservatives. We can offer a paraben-free preservative for a few extra dollars.
Safety equipment... full goggles and gloves....is required, but not provided for this class. If you are unsure if what you have will work, please contact us prior to the class for us to take a look. You can pre-purchase safety equipment however by noting such on your registration form.
Attendees arriving without proper safety gear will be required to purchase the proper equipment from us at the start of the class (subject to availability). Purchased goggles and gloves can be taken home with you. Each individual must have their own equipment (sorry no sharing).

You will make handmade lotions! You will be able to make a goats milk (or other types) lotion from start to finish using your choice of oils and scents. You will take home a small batch of your handmade lotion - approximately 8 oz. (un-labeled lotion bottle(s) included).

We offer a lovely choice of oils for you to try:
Sunflower, avocado, walnut, shea, cocoa butter, jojoba, hemp, olive, sweet almond, argan, evening primrose, rice bran and more!
We will also show you how to make lotion bars! Each attendee will take home two lotion bars. (preservative free!)
