Sewing Class

One generation and it seems an entire skill has been lost. Sewing! How would you like to lose your fear of that sewing machine that has just been collecting dust? We have a guest teacher from Howling Moon Farm who is offering a basic “learn to sew” workshop here on our farm.

Bring your own sewing machine and actually learn to use it! Or if you don’t have a machine, one can be provided for you to use during the class. Materials to complete the project will be provided for you: Feed bags, thread and ribbons, but please be sure all accessories for your machine (needles, bobbins, etc) are brought with you.

Due to table space, we have a participant size limit of 5 people and space for 2-3 observers. Class price is $60 per person to participate (or $40 for anyone who would just like to just observe).

Each participant will get basic instruction on their machine and will then learn to make either a feed bag grocery bag or a feed bag apron to bring home with them. . (Your choice.)

Class length will be approximately 4 hours. Feel free to bring yourself any snacks or drinks you would like.

Pre-registration is required, please comment or PM for info on how to download a registration form.

PLEASE let us know if there is a date you would like to see a class offered, private classes are also available. Minimum class size is 4, Gift certificates available...what better gift to give than to help your loved one learn this awesome skill. Perhaps you are already buying your loved one a machine, why not throw in an awesome gift certificate to help them learn to use it!

The class will be held in our home located in Boon, MI so please dress for inside temperatures. Shoes can be worn in our home.
