Raising Pigs Class

This is a class that will last about 3 hours. 

Information we will touch on:

·         Pig health (general)

·         Nutrition

·         Pasture grazing

·         Shelter

·         Fencing

·         Breeding pigs and owning breeding stock

·         Farrowing

·         PEDv

·   Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources Invasive Species Order (as applicable)

·         Butchering (no actual butchering done during this workshop)

·         Smoking/curing meat

Each group of paid attendees will receive one coupon for 25% off any one pig purchase.  Coupon good for one year from date of class. 

 

Fees:

$25 per adult person (17+) with pre-registration ($32 at the gate)

$6 per child under 17 with pre-registration  ($9 at the gate)

Supervised children under 5 are free

Discounts-10% multi-class can be applied to this seminar

Class Size:

Min: 10 total

None

Dress Code Recommendations:

Be prepared to get dirty and we would suggest no open toed shoes.
