Learn to spin!   Drop Spindle Class

Have you ever wanted to learn to spin? Well here is a great chance!

You don't need a fancy wheel to learn to work with fibers. A drop spindle is a great way to get started.

Each class attendee will receive a handmade drop spindle and approximately 1 ounce of prepared wool batting and some locks.

Learn about drafting fibers, learn what different fibers feel like and how they work (alone or blended), learn techniques that work for you!

Cost is $50 for the drop spindle class - this includes fiber and a brand new wooden drop spindle (either top or bottom whorl)

PLEASE let us know if there is a date you would like to see a class offered, private classes are also available. Minimum class size is 4, but private instruction can be done with the instructor one on one. (You will need to contact the instructor for this option). Gift certificates available...what better gift to give for the holidays than to help your loved one learn this awesome skill. Perhaps you are already buying your loved one a wheel, why not throw in an awesome gift certificate to help them learn to use it!

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Pre-registration will be accepted up to one week prior to class date.

Cancellations will be accepted no later than two weeks prior to the class (as long as the deposit was not already transfered from a previous class booking). Cancellations that are less than two weeks and more than one week before class can be transfered to another class, but not refunded.

Are you interested in taking a spinning wheel class? There will be a wheel class following each spindle class. Discount of $10 if you decide to take both classes together. See our other event listings.

Expand your learning!  Intermediate Spinning Wheel class

Cost is $40 for the beginner spinner spinning wheel class. Further classes may be offered for those wan
ting to go beyond the basics, but this will be determined by requests.

PLEASE let us know if there is a date you would like to see a class offered, private classes are also available. Minimum class size is 4, but private instruction can be done with the instructor one on one. (You will need to contact the instructor for this option).
